Burngreave Building Company has just secured the tender for the major Internal and External refurbishment of this iconic building near the heart of the city.

The works comprise of the renewal of all pitched roofing, roof timber structure repairs, renew selected flat roof coverings, renew roof insulation, asbestos removal from roof space, rebuilding of masonry gable walls in salvaged brick and stone, renewal of cast iron gutters and rainwater down pipes and re pointing of a large industrial size chimney.

Internal refurbishment will include re-plastering water damaged walls and ceilings, repair to and renewal of suspended ceilings, general redecoration and renewal of floor coverings, repairs to and partial renewal of electrical, mechanical, alarm and security installation systems and full electrical and mechanical condition survey

All works are going to be undertaken whilst the building is fully occupied with minimal disruption to the day to day activities of the staff and public

The project is due for completion in the early months of 2016
